District Mission Statement

The mission of Romulus Community Schools is to continuously provide innovative learning opportunities which will best prepare all learners to meet the challenges of the future.

District Policies

These policies have been adopted to provide direction to Board members, District staff and parents and students. The District’s administration will make copies of these policies, and as they may be amended from time to time, and make them available to District staff and the community at the Board office and at every District building. District administration and staff are expected to familiarize themselves with these policies and conduct themselves accordingly.

Initiatives

The Romulus Board of Education endorsed six initiatives to be the focus for increasing student achievement:

  • Parent Involvement
  • Pre-school
  • Alignment and Assessment of Curriculum
  • Technology
  • Empowerment (collaboration)
  • School Climate

These initiatives provided the district with a collaborative opportunity to effectively actualize the Board's direction. The district has communicated this direction to teachers, support staff, students, parents, business and community. The district has worked cooperatively with representatives from the aforementioned in developing strategies and timelines for these initiatives.

Through these collaborative efforts, Romulus Community Schools designed a five-year strategic plan that will take full advantage of the district's curriculum, facilities, technology, students, parents, businesses and the community. This strategic plan will serve as a catalyst to increase student achievement and to graduate students that are prepared to successfully enter an ever-changing work force. The challenge is exciting; however, it will mean that in many areas we must change the way we currently do business.
